2. Put your new knowledge into practice.

Here’s where we teach you safe functional movements suitable to be done seated for those with age-related limitations.

We show you exactly what to do, and how to put it all together in an easy-to-follow way, so it is safe and there is no fumbling around or guesswork. We will ensure you have a positive outcome when you lead your first class.

FAQs

1. I’m not sure that I’m ready to be a ‘Leader’. How can you help me?

Our grass roots seated movement leader training gives you all the foundation you need to successfully lead a safe and engaging session. We have often found that not having experience can actually be a blessing as you can learn from scratch and don’t have to unlearn a teaching style that is not appropriate for those with age-related limitations. You can start with our foundation and build up at your own pace.

2. Will this training help me lead the person I care for one on one?

You absolutely can tailor your session for the person you care for. It gives you a focus for your time together and I assure you it will both create and bring up happy memories.

3. How is the Love to Live Program different to other programs?

The Love to Live Program is designed specifically for those with age-related limitations. Most programs and trainings are designed for the ‘active older adult’. So, the leader needs to modify the program to suit the participant or just allow them to ‘try their best.’

At the Love to Live Program we believe it’s so essential for the participants to be given a program that is specifically designed for them so they will feel successful participating in it. Whenever participants are mastering the foundation movements the instructor is equipped with the skills and knowledge to increase the difficultly for the group.

4. What types of movements can I expect to learn?

We have many physical movement modules in our foundation training including range of movement exercises for strength, flexibility and aerobic exercise. Also movements to stimulate brain activity, use of rhythm for symmetry of movement, to improve coordination and to lift energy. Certain movements are also thrown in just because they are fun and make us laugh and connect with one another. After all, laughter is the best medicine.
